Bluefield, WV. – January 23, 2026 – The Lincoln University men's basketball team came up just short in a tightly contested 65-62 loss to Bluefield State at Ned Shott Gymnasium.
Bonard Johnson Jr. led all Lions with 15 points, shooting 6-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Julius Olanrewaju (Coalinga, CA) provided a big spark off the bench with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while Ronald Bridges Jr. (Durham, NC) added 10 points and three assists.
Amadou Fall (Bronx, NY) contributed on both ends of the floor with eight points and eight rebounds, helping Lincoln stay competitive in a game that featured nine ties and 13 lead changes.
Lincoln shot 48.1% from the field and battled inside, but Bluefield State's Warren Mouganda led the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds to secure the win for the Big Blues.
