Lincoln Men’s Basketball Defeats Bowie State in Battle of the North

Lincoln University, PA - January 17, 2026 - The Lincoln University men's basketball team picked up a hard-fought 77–73 victory over Bowie State on Saturday afternoon at the Chase Fieldhouse, securing a key CIAA win in the Battle of the North.

After trailing 35–32 at halftime, the Lions responded with a strong second half, outscoring Bowie State 45–38 to close out the contest. Lincoln shot an efficient 61.5 percent from the field in the second half and finished the game at 50.0 percent overall.

Ronald Bridges Jr. (Durham, NC) led all scorers with 22 points while adding seven rebounds. Draven Pilson (Winston-Salem, NC) followed with 16 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Jordan Sanders (Atlanta, GA) provided a big lift off the bench with 13 points, and Julius Olanrewaju (Coalinga, CA) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Amadou Fall (Bronx, NY) anchored the paint defensively, finishing with nine rebounds and four blocks, while also contributing six points. The Lions won the rebounding battle 42–30 and generated 25 second-chance points, which proved to be a decisive factor.

Lincoln also received balanced production throughout the lineup, with 27 bench points helping sustain momentum across both halves.

With the win, the Lions improved to 8–11 overall and 3–4 in CIAA play.
