Orangeburg, S.C. – Jan. 10, 2026 – Lincoln University men's basketball traveled south to face Claflin University in a tightly contested matchup that came down to the final moments. Despite a strong effort and late push, the Lions were unable to overcome points off turnovers, falling in a narrow 78–76 decision. With the loss, Lincoln moves to 7–10 on the season as the team looks to regroup moving forward.

Bonard "BJ" Johnson Jr. and Ronald Bridges Jr. (Durham, NC) led the Lions offensively, forming a dynamic backcourt duo throughout the night. Johnson finished with 17 points, 4 rebounds, an assist, and 2 steals, while Bridges followed closely with 16 points, 4 rebounds, an assist, and 2 steals, keeping Lincoln within reach during crucial stretches.

Draven Pilson (Winston-Salem, NC) provided an additional scoring spark, knocking down shots at a high clip from beyond the arc while shooting 60 percent from deep. Pilson totaled 10 points to go along with 2 rebounds and an assist, helping maintain momentum in the back-and-forth battle.
