WILMINGTON, Del. – September 27, 2025 – The Lincoln University women's volleyball team wrapped up a two-match Saturday at Goldey-Beacom, falling in straight sets to both the host Lightning and Kutztown University.
Goldey-Beacom 3, Lincoln 0 – Match Recap
The Lions opened the day against Goldey-Beacom, showing fight throughout the contest before dropping the match 25-11, 25-13, 25-16. Donavyn Morris (Chester, PA) led the back row with 11 digs, while Ashley Fru (Brandywine, MD) added 14 assists and 9 digs to pace the offense. Elise Carter (Smyrna, DE/Smyrna HS) tallied a team-best 5 kills, and Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) chipped in with 7 digs and a block assist.
Kutztown 3, Lincoln 0 – Match Recap
In the second match of the afternoon, Lincoln battled against Kutztown but came up short by scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-11. Carter again led the Lions with 4 kills, while Fru posted 7 assists and 6 digs. Morris added 7 digs, and Kaniece Wright (Bowie, MD) contributed 5 digs in the effort.

The Lions (0-10, 0-1 CIAA) continue their road swing on Monday, September 29, traveling to Petersburg, Va. for a CIAA matchup at Virginia State University. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
