LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – May 23, 2025 – The Lincoln University (Pa.) Department of Athletics proudly concluded the 2024–25 academic year with a
3.092 cumulative GPA across all varsity programs, continuing its upward trajectory toward the department's goal of a 3.2 GPA.
More than
61% of student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher, reflecting the Lions' ongoing commitment to academic excellence, accountability, and holistic development.
"This year's academic performance is a direct reflection of our student-athletes' dedication, our coaches' expectations, and the support systems in place," said Director of Athletics
Harry Stinson III. "Athletics at Lincoln is considered a laboratory for the professional development of our student-athletes. I am elated to see our students dominating the classroom while doing so in their chosen sport. Our goal for the department is a 3.2 CUM, and we are making tremendous strides to reach that landing. But I am extremely proud of the efforts of our students and the hard work of our Student-Athlete Success Center spearheaded by
Keith Merritt, Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success Services/Compliance Officer, and his staff."

Program Highlights
- Women's Soccer: 9 players earned a 3.5 GPA or higher this spring, including Faith Riley and Nevaeh Washington, who both maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
- Men's Basketball Seniors ended their collegiate careers with a cumulative team GPA of 3.22, demonstrating strength both on the court and in the classroom.
- Volleyball led the department with a 3.67 GPA, featuring three 4.0 students and widespread success across all class years.
