Bluefield, WV- September 26, 2024 - The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team lost to Bluefield State University in four sets, the team ended up losing with set scores of: 21-25,25-15,16-25,8-25.
 
The Lions played well against a strong team in Bluefield State. The Lions were able to win the second set due to their impressive play on offense which included a 11-0 run to the start the second set.
 
This stretch pushed them to a 25-15 win in this set; however, Lincoln could not extend this momentum into the final two sets.
 
The team played well behind a strong offensive presence tonight led by Charly Manely with nine kills, while Elise Carter () (6) and Kendra Williams (Dover, Del./Dover) (4) were right behind her.
 
On defense Carter and Laila newborn led the team in blocks with five, while Newborn also led the team in digs with 10.
 
The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team will be at home for their next game as they will match up Virginia State University in a conference match starting at 6 p.m. on September 30, 2024.
