West Chester, PA, October 2, 2024 - The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team lost to West Chester University (PA) in three sets, the team ended up losing with set scores of: 12-25,10-25,17-25.
 
The Lions played well against a strong team in West Chester. The team kept the game close in the opening minutes, but the game slipped away from them towards the end of the first set. West Chester was able to take control in the final two sets although the Lions were able to put together a strong presence on defense.
 
The team leaned on their upperclassmen tonight as the lions were led by Kendra Williams (Dover, Del./Dover) with six kills, while Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) (4) and Audreynette Lydgate () (3) were right behind her.
 
On defense Jaida Lumpkin (Middletown, Del./Middletown) (5) and Janiece Lumpkin (Middletown, DE/Middletown HS) (4) led the team in digs as the team ended the game with 23 digs.
 
The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team will be competing in the CIAA roundup this weekend as they head to Winston Salem, NC, October 5-6.
