LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – October 27, 2025 – The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team showed flashes of momentum and resilience on Monday night but came up short in straight sets to Bowie State (25-13, 25-18, 25-21)
Junior Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) and sophomore Elise Carter (Smyrna, DE/Smyrna HS) paced the Lions offensively, each tallying five kills to lead a balanced attack. Setter Ashley Fru (Brandywine, MD) kept the offense in rhythm with 11 assists and added seven digs and two aces to spark the defensive effort.
Lincoln found its groove in the third set, rallying late behind aggressive serving and strong net play. Manley came through with clutch swings down the stretch, while Donavyn Morris (Chester, PA) anchored the back line with a team-high six digs.
The Lions' steady improvement at the net and serve-receive rotation provided plenty of positives heading into the next conference test.
