Final Results
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania track & field program competed in three relays and a pair of field events at the prestigious Penn Relays on Friday and Saturday.
Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) participated in two jumping competitions, finishing with the bronze medal in the long jump at 7.38m while placing fourth for his 2.12m high jump.
The other male competitors were the 4x400m relay quartet of Ra'ar Corinaldi (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill Freedman Academy), Michael Amaker (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder), Nasir Scott (Levittown, Pa./Harriet Tubman), and Irvin Marable (Somers Point, N.J./Pleasantville) who scored a point for coming in eighth with a speed of 3:20.43.
Bronze was worn by lady Lions as well with the 4x100 group consisting of Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin), Anaeja Ferrell (Newark, Del./St. Georges)Ade Conover (Newark, NJ/Louis Dieruff (PA)), and Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) captured third at 47.68 seconds.
The final participation came from the 4x400m relays (Johns, Destiny Pierre Mathieu (Drexil Hill, Pa./Prendie & Bonner), Carrington, and Jazlynn Church (Wilmington, Del./The Charter School)) who wound up crossing the tape in 17th by running a 4:04.73 time.
The squads will now head to Durham, North Carolina for the CIAA Championships from May 5 to May 6 in Durham County Stadium, hoping to capture the conference crown.
