LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania track and field program split the conference's Athletes of the Week accolades as Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) and Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) continue to show out with their past performances coming at the Morgan State Legacy.
Â
Carrington, a sophomore sprinter, broke a nearly quarter-century old women's outdoor school record in the 100 hurdles in a time of 13.75. The previous mark was set all the way back in 1999 when Rhondale Jones ran a 13.88 at the NCAA Division III National Championships which the Franklin High School product shattered that speed by approximately 13/100ths of a second.
Â
Butler, a senior jumper, seemingly wins the award every single week, securing the gold medal for his signature event, high jump, with a height of 1.88m as well as recording a runner-up placement during the long jump at a distance of 7.32m.
Â
The regular season finale will take place at the most prestigious regular season meet in the world, the Penn Relays from Thursday through Saturday.
