18 Personal-Records Fall At Morgan State Legacy

Final Results

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania track & field program was able to grab four medals and smash 18 different personal-records on Saturday afternoon in Charm City.

Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) was on the receiving end of two medals for the men's side, winning the high jump at 1.88m and finishing as the runner-up during the long jump at 7.32m.

Ra'ar Corinaldi (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill Freedman Academy) was the other male medalist, bringing home the bronze in the 400m run with a time of 54.11, a new personal-low.

Jeremy Gyan (Bear, Del./Newark Charter) just missed a podium spot with fourth, doing so in the pole vault at 3.70m while also scoring eighth for his 6.66m long jump (PR) and setting a separate personal-record in the high jump (1.88m) too.

Both Jayden Rodriguez (Hillside, N.J./North Star Academy) and Michael Amaker (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder) logged the same allotment on top of a PR, each securing fifth for the 110 hurdles (14.57) and the 1,500m (4:14.10), respectively.

Nasir Scott (Levittown, Pa./Harriet Tubman) did not score but did set a pair of new benchmarks for himself in the 200m (23.00) as well as the 400m (50.78), Irvin Marable (Somers Point, N.J./Pleasantville) also cleared his previous best for the 400m at 50.52 to go along with Jaden Harrell (Ashburn, Va./Briar Woods) reached new heights in his high jump (1.83m).

Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) made history for the ladies, breaking a 24-year old program record in the 100 hurdles with a speed of 13.75 seconds to win the silver. Carrington obliterated the previous mark held by Rhondale Jones by 0.13 seconds, who set the time on May 22, 1999 at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Angel Adams (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Flanagan) contributed a top-five finish and a personal-record during the 400 hurdles (1:03.54) while Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) did the same minus the PR in the 400m (56.47).

Aniyah Epps (Baltimore, Md./Western) went for not one, but two track personal-bests of 13.16 during the 100m as well as a 26.96 200m.

Anaeja Ferrell (Newark, Del./St. Georges) also notched a pair of PRs, one on the track and one in the field, a 25.21 during the 200m for the former and a distance of 5.45m long jump in the latter.

Other women to send their personal-records packing were Amani Adams (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Flanagan) (100 hurdles – 15.23), Destiny Pierre Mathieu (Drexil Hill, Pa./Prendie & Bonner) (400m – 1:00.61), Talia Simpson (Cheltenham, Md./Cheltenham) (100m – 12.98), and Savannah Wright (200m – 26.67).

The opportunity of a lifetime arises for the several Retriever student-athletes from April 27-29 as the Black and Gold will partake in the legendary Penn Relays inside Franklin Field.
