The Atlantic Region's sixth-best team according to D2SIDA, sits atop the Northern Division and is tied for the best record in the CIAA at 9-2 with Fayetteville State.

The ladies lead the league in scoring offense at 69.5 points per game in large part due to its CIAA-best 5.7 three-pointers a night. They also slot just 0.3 offensive rebounds behind Bowie State for the best average in the conference but has to settle for slotting eighth in the nation instead with 16.8.

Kania Pollock (Queens, N.Y./The Mary Louis Academy) and
Anyssa Fields (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) form a dynamic frontcourt duo that ranks among the top tandems in the CIAA as both players rank top-five in the conference for field goal percentage with one or the other ranking at least at high for points and rebounds per game.

Jaleesa Lanier (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) is the top assister on the squad, landing third for total dimes (63) and fifth regarding average (3.0).

Scouting the Virginia State Trojans:

VSU has been in a tailspin since mid-January, dropping five straight which included a non-conference defeat at Bluefield State sandwiched between conference matchups.

Despite the struggles, the Trojans still sport an elite defense, surrendering just 59 points a contest and a 25.7% three-point percentage as well as forcing over 20 turnovers per night.

Sommer Blakemore is one of the few that surpasses Lanier for assists, topping the CIAA for both assists average (3.6) and total assists (75) on top of the seventh-highest scoring average (14.2).

Kylah Webb is the enforcer down low with 21 blocks (3rd in CIAA) while Kalyn Ervin is the sneaky one with 50 steals (3rd in CIAA).
