- Sebastian Iguaran (Port Orange, Fla./Spruce Creek) only played in the doubleheader opener but was impressive, sailing his first career round-tripper over the fence in a 2-for-2 day which included a steal, two runs scored and three walks to reach base all five times to the plate.

- The Greenidge brothers both put forth quality offensive displays as the two combined to hit .400 (4-of-10) with three doubles, three runs batted in, two free passes, and a painful hit-by-pitch.

- Leadoff hitter Jefry Azcona's (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) bat might be awakening from his early season slumber, cataloging a pair of hits including a double with a pair of steals, two walks plus a sacrifice fly and an RBI.

- The pitching staff did not encounter many bright spots on Thursday but one of them was sophomore Hilbert Nina De Leon (Bloomfield, N.J./Bloomfield) who was borderline unhittable, recording the final six outs with three via strikeout, and just one hit surrendered.
