Lincoln Drops Road Tilt To Elizabeth City State


ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania men's basketball program never led but nearly clawed its way back from a 15-point deficit, only to fall by seven, 70-63.

  • Janaie Coates-Sinues (Newark, N.J./University) broke multiple season-highs including minutes (29), points (8), rebounds (7, team-best), field goals made (3), and assists (2), his second game of his career with multiple dimes.
 
  • Korey Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaSalle Academy) led all scorers per usual, pouring in 19 points and two of the club's four three-pointers while setting a season-best for steals with a game-most four.
 
  • Bakir Cleveland (Newark, N.J./University) and Reggie Hudson (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) both had eerily similar stat lines as both players had 11 points and tied for the squad's co-lead with three assists each, combining for ten rebounds, three steals plus a block.
 
  • Peter Sorber (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) had a pair of blocks to front the Lions and his second career steal, Aidan Anderson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) rejected his second career blocked shot, and Ethan Garita (Trenton, N.J./Princeton Day School) collected his sixth block of 2022-23.

  • Despite the loss, Lincoln allowed a season-low three steals and turned the ball over only 11 times, winning the turnover margin by nine.
