Lincoln University Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Communications Jayson Ameer Rasheed was recently elected as the Atlantic Regional representative for Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).

"This is a great opportunity for Ameer to continue his service to the industry. As a former SID, CoSIDA/D2SIDA has a special place in my heart and to have someone on our staff to provide service to the industry and this great organization is a true testament of how we can continue to impact the enterprise from within. Congrats Ameer and I'm truly excited to see the results of your work."

While Rasheed brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry, only four of which have been at the Division II level. During those years, he has also served as a D2SIDA voter for the Atlantic Region women's basketball poll and a voter on the D2SIDA National women's basketball poll.

He has served on several national committees with CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), BCSIDA (Black College Sports Information Directors of America) and the NCAA. Rasheed is also on the MOAA Symposium Committee.

Rasheed will be starting his third year at Lincoln University.
