LINCOLN UNIVERSITY (November 6, 2023)- Lincoln University and its Athletics Department continues to make strides for greatness through forward-thinking and innovation. The promotion of Harry Stinson, III to Interim Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Executive Director of the Lincoln University Foundation proves the University's steps in the right direction.
"I'm extremely honored and excited to serve the university in this new capacity and I thank President Dr. Brenda Allen for having the faith in me to serve her administration in this way," said Stinson. "Our goal is to ensure that our students have every resource possible to realize their full potential to Learn, Liberate and Lead during their time here at Lincoln University and beyond. Working with the president, the board, our alumni and corporate partners we can ensure the future for Lincoln University is bright and that any financial barrier is removed from ensuring the success of our students."
In addition to Stinson's new daily tasks with Institutional Advancement, he will continue to oversee the Department of Athletics and Recreational Services. The former Interim Athletic Director, Joshua Dean, will be managing the daily operations of the department with the assistance of the athletics executive team.
"Athletics is in a great position and we have capable leaders including Josh Dean and the other members of our Executive Staff to ensure this department continues to operate at an elite level as I take on this new role," explained Stinson. "I'm looking forward to engaging our alumni and corporate partners at a higher level and I'm excited to serve Lincoln in whatever way possible to ensure her success."
Although Stinson will be serving in the interim role until the University conducts a search for a permanent replacement, he has received full support from President Dr. Brenda Allen and her cabinet.
"I am pleased to report that Harry Stinson, Athletic Director, has accepted the appointment to provide interim leadership of the Institutional Advancement team and the Lincoln University Foundation until we conduct a search and identify a permanent replacement," said President Allen. "Harry has been a valued member of my Cabinet and has been integral in our ongoing efforts to brand the University, expand its presence, visibility and recognition, and establish relationships with alumni and community organizations to support the University's mission. I have every confidence that the division of Institutional Advancement will be in very capable hands with him leading as the interim."
