Lincoln University track and field athletes
Aasante Love (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) and
Jaylen Sanders (North Las Vegas, Nev./Centennial) have been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Women's and Men's Field Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week ending February 3, 2019.

Sanders has now earned Field Athlete of the Week three consecutive weeks while Love garners her first Field Athlete of the Week honors this season.

Love took home second place in the high jump at the Frank Colden Invitational clearing the bar at 1.48 meters (4' 10¼"). She was the top Non-Division I finisher in the event. In the long jump, Love finished sixth with a season-best jump of 5.17 meters (16' 11½").

Sanders recorded personal-best jumps in both the long jump and triple jump at Saturday's Frank Colden Invitational placing fourth in both events. Â In the long jump, Sanders jumped 6.89 meters (22 7.25") and was the second best collegiate finisher. In the triple jump, he leaped 13.21 meters (43 4.25"). His long jump moved him into the top five on the CIAA Indoor performance list, while his triple jump effort moved into the top ten.

Lincoln returns to action at the CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at JDL Fasttrack and hosted by Winston-Salem University on February 9-10, 2019.
