Bowie State University handed the Lincoln University women's volleyball team a 3-0 loss Tuesday night at Manuel Rivero Hall.
The set scores were 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22.
The Lions fall to 1-10 overall and 1-5 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) games. The Bulldogs improve to 3-11 overall and 1-5 in league action.
Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) led the Lions with five kills while
Jasmin Lewis (Baltimore/Western) added three.Â
Tierra Russaw (Westland, Mich./Summit Academy) led the team with 13 assists and five service aces.
On the defensive end,
Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) had 14 digs while Russaw added nine.Â
Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) had four blocks while
Mikhi Wright (Philadelphia, Pa./Phila. HS for Girls) added three.
The Bulldogs produced a balanced attack with Alana Watson leading the team with five kills and four others adding four kills apiece. Bianca tucker led the team with 18 assists while Oladia Menchaca had nine. Matson also led the team with five aces.
Neysha Washington led Bowie State with nine digs.
Lincoln returns to action on Monday October 14, 2019 when they travel to face Virginia State University in Ettrick, Virginia. Â Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
