The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team defeated Lincoln University 11-1 Thursday night in an East Coast Conference Clash at Lions Stadium.
 
The Lions fall to 0-10 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.   Bridgeport improves to 5-3-1 overall and 3-1 in ECC action.
 
Diana Martinez (Kissimmee, Fla./St. Cloud) had the Lions only score of the game, coming in the 74^th minute.  The senior secured a steal and took the ball in towards goal, kicking it in over the head of the Bridgeport keeper.
 
The Purple Knights scored five times in the first half with Nara DeCosta and Maegen Doyle notching two goals apiece.  Bridgeport added six more scores in the second half with Elin Eklund and Anisha Hill scoring twice. 
 
Bridgeport finished the game with a 29-4 advantage in shots taken (19-3 on goal).
 
The women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday as they travel to Long Island to face LIU-Post in another ECC match.  Kickoff is at 12 noon.
