Tamara Greene (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) was named to the Division Two Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Women's Soccer Team as a second team selection in a vote conducted by the region's sports information directors.
Greene becomes the third Lincoln women's soccer player to earn D2CCA All-Region honors, joining Tara O'Brien who earned First Team All-Region honors in 2012 and second team honors in 2013 and
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) who was a second team honoree in 2013. In 2012 and 2013 the program was known as the Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Team.
Greene produced the best season of her four-year career at Lincoln in 2016. The senior midfielder led the teams in goals scored with ten, assists (7), and total points (27). She currently leads the Atlantic Region in points /game (1.93), and is tied for the top spot in the region, averaging 0.5 assists/game. In addition, Greene ranks amongst the top four players in the region in four other categories: goals/game (0.71, 3
rd); total points and total assists (tied for 3
rd); and total goals (tied for 4
th).
The Piscataway, New Jersey native also ranks amongst the top 25 Division II players nationally in three categories; points/game (15
th); goals/game (22
nd); and assists/game (25
th).
On October 26, 2016, in a game against Trinity College, Greene recorded the first hat-trick of her career, becoming just the fifth player in program history to record a hat-trick and just the third to record a natural hat-trick. He performance vs. Trinity earned her ECAC women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Greene finishes her career as the Lions fifth all time leading scorer with 42 points. She ranks fifth on Lincoln's all-time goals list with 17 and is tied for fourth with eight career assists.
Tamara is the Lions all-time leader in games played (56) and started (52).
The Division II All America Women's Soccer Program is administered by the Division II Sports Information Director's Association (D2-SIDA) and sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
