Tamara Greene (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) scored twice, continuing her solid play as the Lincoln University women's soccer team closed out their season with a 3-3 tie against Christendom College Friday night at Lions Stadium.

The Lions finished their season with a 3-11-1 record. The Crusaders record goes to 6-6-1.

Greene's two goals give her ten for the season. The senior midfielder has scored at least one goal in five of Lincoln's last six games. Greene opened the scoring taking a pass from
Cleo Spear (Sydney, Australia/Oxford Falls Grammar School) and firing a long shot from about 30 yards away just three m,inutes into the game to put Lincoln on top 1-0. She added her second goal in the 82
nd minute, giving the Lions a 3-2 lead at the time and also assisted on LU's only other goal of the night, finishing the game with five points and 12 in her final two games as a Lion.

The Crusaders bounced back with two goals in the first half to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.  In the second half,
Kayla Butts (Lansdowne, Pa./Bonner-Prendergast Catholic) tied the game at 2-2 with soft shot close to the net that got past the Crusader goalkeeper. The score remained tied until Greene's goal in the 82nd minute with
Averri Glenn (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway ) earning the assist on the play.

Christendom's Emily Weichert evened the game at 3-3 with just 1:57 left with a high shot from the left side over the head of Lion goalkeeper
Lena Rodriguez (Chicago, Ill./Joliet Catholic), forcing overtime.

Lincoln got off the only two shots in the first overtime period as Greene and spear both kicked shots towards goal that went over the crossbar. The two teams managed two shots on goal apiece in the second overtime but both goalkeepers sood their ground and the game finished as a 3-3 tie.

The Christendom game concludes the 2016 season for the Lincoln women's soccer team.Â
