Box Score Lincoln University's women's volleyball team dropped their third straight 3-0 decision Saturday afternoon, losing to Salem International University at Manuel Rivero Hall.

The Tigers of SIU took the first set 25-17 and went on to complete the sweep, winning the next two sets 25-10 and 25-17. The Lions fall to 5-18 while Salem improves to 3-20.

Mariah Russell (St. Louis, MO/Maplewood Richmond Heights HS) led the Lions with ten kills, marking the seventh time this season she has reached double digits for kills in a match.Â
Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) recorded 16 assists setting the offense and also had two service aces. King and
Tierra Russaw (Detroit, MI/Summit Academy ) had six digs apiece.

The Tigers were paced by Rachel Hess and Sophie Freihofer. Hess recorded a double-double with ten kills and ten digs. Freihofer had 14 digs and nine kills. Cassidy Pluta led SIU with 14 digs.

The Lions will host Virginia Union University on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Manuel Rivero Hall. Tipoff is set for 6:00 pm.
