LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Lincoln suffered a pair of losses to the Falcons of St. Augustine's on Saturday, April 28^th at the LU Baseball Complex.
 
Infielder Terrell Berringer singled in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Lions only production at the plate in a 6-0 shutout loss to St. Augustine's in the first game of their weekend series to close out the season. Berringer also drew a walk along with outfielder Latuan Boggerty (Dover, DE/Polytech HS) but the Falcons had six runs on eight hits. The duo also recorded stolen bases. Pitcher Sam Garmoe (Bowie, MD/Bowie HS) went the entire way at the mound for the Lions striking out three and walking only three batters. Defensively, infielder DeVante Parker (Bear, DE/Appoquinimink HS) had four assists leading to eight putouts by infielder Charles Gibbons (Brooklyn, NY/Genesee CC).
 
Infielder DeVante Parker (Bear, DE/Appoquinimink HS) singled in the bottom of the first inning for the Lions only offense in the second game of the double header. Lincoln had three defensive errors while St. Augustine's capitalized off of eight hits leading to five runs in a 5-0 shutout victory. Demetrius Robinson (Philadelphia, Pa./Murrell Dobbins HS) started for the Lions at the mound and went six innings striking out one batter. Crae Watkins (Lorain, OH/Brookside HS) pitched in relief of Robinson for the seventh inning.
 
The Falcons scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second inning, and two runs in the sixth inning.
 
The Lincoln University and St. Augustine's University will play two games on Sunday to close out the regular season.
