Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) recorded a career-high 13 saves and then netted her third goal of the season as the Lions loss 4-1 to Georgian Court on Tuesday, October 7
th.
Lincoln's lone goal of the match arrived in the 87
th minute by
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) and was assisted by senior
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) to close out the game. Georgian Court outshot Lincoln 24-8 controlling the pace. GCU had two goals in the first half and added two more in the second half for a 4-1 victory.
Sophomore
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) had three shots on goal to lead the Lions while junior
Audrey Smylie (Baltimore, MD/Western HS) and sophomore
Alanna Van Ness (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) each had one attempt at the GCU goal.
Defensively,
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) posted a career-best 13 saves notching her second double-digit save game of the season. Harris also recorded her third goal of the season with a rebound off of a save.
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) had her team-high third assist of the season.
The Lions fall to 4-5-1 and will travel to Murfreesboro, NC on October 12
th for a showdown with Chowan University at 1p.m.
