BOWIE, MD – Sophomore
Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) had a game-high 23 digs leading the Lions defensively, but Lincoln women's volleyball team loss to Bowie State 3-1 (22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 17-25) on Thursday, October 2nd.
The Lions had two players finishing with double-digit digs in their CIAA Northern Divisional matchup against the Bulldogs.

Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS)'s 16 digs carried Lincoln defensively as the Lions won the battle 64-58. A pair of Lions also hit double-digit assists behind sophomore
Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School)'s team-high 14 and Cook's 13 assists.
Bowie State won the first two sets over the Lions 25-22 and 25-18. On the verge of a three-set sweep, Lincoln responded with a great third set to get back into the game. Freshman
Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS) tallied five kills and junior
Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) added two as the Lions won 25-20. Lincoln played their best set of the match in the third forcing Bowie State into 13 errors while only committing three of their own.
In the fourth set, costly errors and a low attack percentage led a Bowie State 25-17 victory clinching the match 3-1 over Lincoln. Price had three kills for the Lions with Lee and Cook adding one kills apiece.
Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS) paced the Lions with 12 kills and three digs followed by
Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute)'s nine kills.
The Lions fall to 2-11, 1-9, 0-4 record while the Bulldogs improve to 4-15, 3-7, 1-3. Lincoln will host Virginia State University in their next match on Monday, October 6
th at 6 p.m.
