Box Score Lincoln University, PA – The Lincoln University was defeated 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-13) in a match against Virginia State University on Monday, October 28 in Manuel Rivero Hall.

Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) led the Lions with five kills, two digs, and a solo block against the Trojans while Shana King paced the Lions with seven assists. Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) and Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) added two kills apiece for Lincoln's offense in a tough battle at home.

Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) and Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) both netted aces on the Trojans. Orton recorded two aces and King had one ace.
Defensively, Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) led the Lions with nine digs. Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) and Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) each had seven digs and Tarayja Brooks (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS) added three digs.
