Lincoln University, PA - On Sunday, October 12^th the Lincoln University Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and football manager Briannah Lamarr hosted the Kisses for Kyle Fun Walk. Kisses for Kyle is a foundation that helps support families with children battling childhood cancer throughout the Delaware valley.
 
The Lions football manager Briannah Lamarr, created the Kisses for Kyle Fun Walk Event in honor of her sister Nia who has been battling brain cancer and a family friend Naqiyl who passed away fighting cancer recently.
 
My name is Briannah LaMarr and I am coming to you all on behalf of Kisses for Kyle Foundation. The Kisses for Kyle Foundation offers a variety of services to families fighting childhood cancer in the Delaware Valley Area. My family has been one of those families that they have helped over the years. As few may know my sister Nia was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in 2011. It came as a shock to my family but happily Nia has been fighting cancer since day one. The Kisses for Kyle foundation has been a support system for families all over the Delaware Valley area for 12 years. Along with Nia, one of my closest young friends Naqiyl Booker also suffered from Cancer; however he was diagnosed at a young age. From the time that my sister was diagnosed Naqiyl was a mentor and friend to my sister. Sadly he passed away on May 7th, 2013. In Honor of my sister and in memory of Naqiyl I would love for Lincoln University to host the annual Fun Stroll and 5K run. This event will take place on Sunday, October 13th on the track of Lincoln University Stadium. Registration will begin at 9 am and the walk and Run will begin at 9:30am. We will have entertainment and refreshments following the event!
