LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University football team looks to rebound after an opening season loss by traveling to Football Championship Subdivision Wofford College on Saturday night at Gibbs Stadium.

THE EVENT: Lincoln hits the road on the young season to take on FCS Division I member Wofford College. The Lions are coming off a 34-21 loss in their home opener to Cheyney, while the Terriers are coming into the game off a 34-7 win over Gardner-Webb last Saturday.
Doug Cook (Dania Beach, FL/University School of Nova SE University) paced the Lincoln offense with 345 yards passing and one touchdown, while Matt Coston had 11 catches for a game-high 125 and two scores. Defensively,
Tim Green (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS) led the way with a game-high 10 tackles, including nine solo stops.
Wofford is led by Eric Breitenstein, who rushed for 219 of the Terriers' 402 yards. Wofford is ranked third in the nation in rushing offense and Breitenstein leads the nation in that category.
THE SERIES: This is the first meeting between the two schools.
