Lady Lions run out of time against Golden Bulls

Box Score
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.Despite a furious second-half rally, the Lincoln University women's basketball team simply ran out of time as the Lady Lions fell to Johnson C. Smith, 64-54, on Monday night in a CIAA game at Manuel Rivero Hall.

“Tonight if one bucket falls at the two-minute mark, it is a two point ball game,” Lincoln head coach Jessica Kern said. “For us to have them on their heels tonight shows that Lincoln is going to kick down teh doors one of these days. I was so proud, especially of two players Synae Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter HS) and Brittney Watters, who at 5-7 and 5-9 played the five spot for us tonight. I am very happy with the effort.”

Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) scored 11 of her game-high 17 points in the first half, while Denyse Moore (Hampton, Va./Woodside HS) added 13 points and seven assists as the Lady Lions nearly rallied from a 13-point, first-half deficit.
