Lincoln tripped up by Ohio Valley

VIENNA, W.Va. — Playing with just eight players, the Lincoln University women's soccer team was tripped up by Ohio Valley University on Friday afternoon, 8-0.

The Lady Scots opened the scoring in the fourth minute as Ashley Wilcox scored off an assist by Samantha Flynn to give Ohio Valley a 1-0 lead. The advantage grew to 2-0 with a goal by Flynn with an assist by Wilcox in the 34th minute.
Ohio Valley (2-5) added six goals in the second half for the win.
Sima Sinforosa finished with 11 saves in goal for the Lady Lions (0-5-1), while Abbi Menear had a pair of saves for the Lady Scots.
Lincoln concludes its six-game road trip 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26 in Flushing, N.Y., against Queens College. The game can be viewed through live stats at: http://livestats.prestosports.com/queens/.
