OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The Lincoln University men's soccer team dropped a 10-1 decision on Saturday to New York Tech.
The Bears (4-0-1) led 5-0 at the break, but the Lions (0-4) cut the deficit to 5-1 on an own goal in the 54th minute.
However, New York Tech scored five second-half goals to take the match, 10-1.
Vincent Sumbry (Washington, D.C./Benjamin Banneker Academic HS) had 11 saves in goal for Lincoln, while Vincent Pellegrino, Liam Waddy and Joe Caccavale shared time in goal for New York Tech.
Lions return to action 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22 in Salem, W.Va., against Salem International University.
