Women's Soccer Chris Weeden

Lincoln routed by Pitt-Johnstown, 10-0

Johnstown, Pa. — Pitt-Johntown's women soccer team registered 38 shots against Lincoln University Monday en route to a 10-0 win.

 

The game remained scoreless until Lauren Penn received a cross from Laura Hoehn with 32:42 left in the first half for her first of three goals. Pitt-Johnstown added two more goals before halftime while barraging Lincoln goaltender Brittany Johnson (Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) (Glassboro, N.J.) with 21 shots. She faced another 17 in the second half, seven of which found the back of the net, the first three of which were delivered by Alicia Zack.

 

Stephanie Anderson (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area HS) (Coatesville, Pa.) and Charlise Cunningham (Long Island, NY/Bayshore) (Bay Shore, N.Y.) paced the Lady Lions with three shots each. Johnson recorded eight saves.

 

With the loss, Lincoln completes a stretch of six games in 12 days and enjoys a rest until Sept. 15 when it hosts Philadelphia University on Sept. 15.
