LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — Lincoln men's soccer hosted Briarcliffe College. Lincoln's defense appeared much more cohesive in this matchup than it did in the opener on Thursday behind the goalkeeping of Andre Wilkinson (St. Michael's, Barbabos/William Grady) (Bridgetown, Barbados).
He had 11 saves, but the pressure of Briarcliffe proved unrelenting. Rony Gonclaves opened the scoring off a free kick at 2:27, and it proved to be enough, as BriarCliffe won, 4-0, scoring twice in each half.
The 2009 season continues with Lincoln going to Queens College to make up a postponement from earlier in the season. The contest begins at 1 p.m. in Flushing, N.Y.
