LAWRENCEVILLE, VA (March 29, 2008) – Josh Graber (Baltimore, MD/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) had four hits over two games, but it wasn't enough as the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania baseball team lost to Saint Paul's College, 9-5 (GAME 1 BOXSCORE) and 12-4 (GAME 2 BOXSCORE) Saturday afternoon.
Graber had two hits in each of the games. In the second game, he drove in three runs. His two-run double in the top of the fifth inning pulled Lincoln to within, 6-4. However, the host Tigers scored six times in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the game away. Also, in the second game, Robinson contributed a double.
In the opening game, Lincoln battled back from a quick 4-0 deficit to pull within, 6-5, in the top of the fifth inning. Graber had two hits and a RBI. Omar Glinton (Nassau, Bahamas/St. Augustine's) backed Graber with two hits. That would be as close as Lincoln would get as Saint Paul's scored three runs over the final two innings to defeat Lincoln for the first time in school history.
Lincoln concludes its Virginia swing with a pair of games at Virginia State University beginning Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
