PHILADELPHIA, PA. (November 2, 2008) -- The Philadelphia University men's soccer team got a goal from freshman forward Milos Racic in the 86th minute for a 1-0 victory over Lincoln University Sunday afternoon in the Lions' season finale.
Lincoln finished its season with a 5-11-1 record. The Lions displayed tremendous heart and character battling against a Philadelphia University squad that is under consideration for a ECAC postseason bid. Philadelphia outshot Lincoln, 25-3, but Lion keeper Andre Wilkinson (St. Michael's, Barbabos/William Grady) stood tall by finishing with 12 saves.
Adedotun Osho had two shots and Rahsaan Lisimba (Philadelphia, PA/Penn Wood) had Lincoln's only other shot. The Lions had a golden scoring chance when they attempted their only corner of the match in the second half. Under first year coach Joseph Jallah, Lincoln surpassed its win total from 2007 while playing against a much more difficult schedule.
