Lincoln can't recover from Chestnut Hill strikes in men's soccer setback

PHILADELPHIA, PA. (October 30, 2008) – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team began the final part of its 2008 season by dropping  2-0 decision to host Chestnut Hill College Thursday afternoon. (BOXSCORE)

 

Lincoln (5-9-1) outshot Chestnut Hill (2-16-1), 22-20. However, Chestnut Hill scored a goal in each half to defeat Lincoln. Sophomore Adedotun Osho led Lincoln with 11 shots and senior Rahsaan Lisimba (Philadelphia, PA/Penn Wood) added six shots for the Lions. Sophomore Andre Wilkinson (St. Michael's, Barbabos/William Grady) finished with 10 saves.

 

Chestnut Hill's goal scorers were John Wood in the 30th minute and Ross Alford in the 56th minute. It was the second consecutive year Chestnut Hill defeated Lincoln.

 

Lincoln plays its final home game Saturday morning when it hosts Barton (NC) College beginning at 11:00 a.m.
