Tevin Baskin is entering his first season as Associate Head Coach for the Lincoln University Men’s Basketball program in 2025-26. Baskin brings nearly a decade of diverse basketball coaching experience, most recently serving as an integral part of the NBA G League’s Long Island Nets coaching staff. He joins the Lions with a reputation as a proven developer of talent and a rising star in the coaching profession.

During his time with the Long Island Nets, Baskin helped guide the team to back-to-back NBA G League Eastern Conference Finals appearances in 2023 and 2024, along with a 2023 regular season Eastern Conference title. The Nets’ franchise-record 16-game winning streak and league-best defensive unit were also highlights of his time with the team.

As the lead player development coach, Baskin played a critical role in securing a franchise-record seven NBA Call-Ups in the 2024-25 season, working with top players like Drew Timme, Tosan Evbuomwan, Kendall Brown, and Amari Bailey. Timme earned a multi-year contract with Brooklyn, while Brown and Evbuomwan signed two-way deals. Baskin also contributed to the Nets' NBA Summer League efforts, preseason training camps, and developed a player development database to support long-term growth.

Baskin’s coaching career also includes experience in the Southeastern Conference at Mississippi State, where he helped the team reach the 2019 NCAA Tournament and developed future NBA players Quinndary Weatherspoon, Reggie Perry, and Robert Woodard II. Additionally, he coached at Saint Michael’s College, Bridgewater College, and Northwest Florida State, where he helped lead the team to an undefeated conference season and a trip to the NJCAA Final Four.

As a player, Baskin starred at Trinity Catholic High School in Connecticut before playing collegiate basketball at Quinnipiac, Chipola College, and Appalachian State. He also played professionally in Mexico for two seasons.

Baskin holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology from Appalachian State and a Master’s in Workforce Education Leadership from Mississippi State. He and his wife, Jill, were married in May 2023.
