A chemistry environmental science major, Jefferson’s hobbies include playing the cello, basketball and singing. Nicknamed “Lezlo”, Jefferson’s favorite movie is “Harlem Nights” and her favorite food is collard greens. She lists “The Bible” as her favorite book. Her favorite sports figures include Lisa Leslie and Allen Iverson. Her favorite cartoon character is Bugs Bunny. Her career goal is to become a pharmacist. Jefferson played field hockey, basketball and ran cross-country in high school. She graduated in the top 20 percent of her high school class. Jefferson was a member of the Spanish National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and the National Honor Society. Jefferson, who celebrates her birthday on December 19, is the daughter of Loretta Martin.
