Coach Samuel London returns for his third season as the Lions Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator in 2018.  
 
London is responsible for implementing daily drills for the development of the Lions running back, tight ends and long snappers as well as assisting with the preparation of the team’s weekly offensive practice schedule and assisting the offensive coordinator with weekly scouting reports.
One of his recruits, punter Cody Waddell, was named to the HBCU Gameday DII All-American Team (2nd Team) in 2016 while three others participated in the HBCU Spirit Bowl that same season.
 
Prior to joining the Lions, London was the Running Backs Coach at Cheyney University from 2013-2015.  He also served as the co-recruiting coordinator and was responsible for the development of the team’s punt and kick returners.  London also served as the Team Chaplain.
 
London has also coached at Capital Christian High School in Sacramento, California and with the semi-pro River City Gators as their running backs coach. 
 
A United States Air Force veteran, London has received the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal and numerous honors during his military career.
 
London received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies: Human Resource concentration from southern New Hampshire University and a Master’s degree in Sport Management-Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania.
