ACADEMIC MONITORING
Academic performance is monitored both formally and informally by me. During the 4
th and 12
th week of each semester, progress reports are sent to all instructors of each student-athlete. Instructors provide information about attendance, participation, grades and general comments. Monitoring of course progress allows the athletic department to become aware of problems and provide the assistance needed as quickly as possible.
STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT Program
The Providing Athletes With Skills (PAWS) Program at Lincoln University provides comprehensive guidance regarding the personal, professional, and academic development for lions student-athletes. The holistic development of student-athletes at Lincoln University is a top priority, and the PAWS Program aims to provide experiences for growth on and off the field.
- Academic Development: Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) at Lincoln University plays a key role in developing educational plans for student-athletes. We works closely with student-athletes to ensure academic success.
- Leadership Development: The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Lincoln University is guided by Jacob Mullins. SAAC is a leadership committee made up of student-athletes that provide insight on the student-athlete experience. SAAC offers input on rules, regulations, and policies that impact student-athletes’ lives on all NCAA Member institution campuses.
- Community Service: The student-athlete experience is about more than just competing - it is also about giving back to the Lincoln University community. The goal of this portion of the PAWS Program is for our student-athletes to positively impact the surrounding areas and beyond by interacting with fans and community members.

STUDENT ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC)
The committee serves to provide you and your teammates with a substantial role in the overall policy-formation process regarding relevant and current issues in LU athletics. One of the responsibilities of SAAC is to advise the department on addressing issues of importance to student-athletes. If you have concerns that you feel should be shared with the department’s administration, your voice can be heard through this board.
