LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — Lincoln University (Pa.) scored on its opening possession and held Bluefield State scoreless in the second half to earn a 20–7 win Saturday at LU Athletics Stadium. The victory was the Lions' first of the season and moved them to 1–1 in CIAA play.

Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) led the offense with eight catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.
Jayden Triplett (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) completed 10-of-13 passes for 166 yards and a score, while adding a team-high 50 rushing yards.
Charles Thompson (Chester, PA/Stem Academy) led the defense with 11 tackles, including three for loss.
Zion Knox (Philadelphia, PA) added nine tackles, and Dayone Fitch recorded a sack.

Lorenzo Robinson (White Plains, NY) put Lincoln ahead with a 16-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Early in the second,
Jayden Triplett (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) connected with
Kyrie Tyson (Elkton, MD/Elkton HS) for a 62-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 13–0. Bluefield State answered with a touchdown pass just before halftime, cutting Lincoln's advantage to 13–7.
The Lions protected that lead through a scoreless third quarter.
Dexter Baptistin (Montreal, CA/Dalbe-Viau) then capped a three-play drive with a four-yard touchdown run with 5:23 remaining, giving Lincoln its 20–7 final margin.
