LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University (Pa.) volleyball team opens Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play Monday, September 21, when the Lions travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to face Shaw University.

Lincoln enters conference play with momentum after earning its first victory of the season Saturday against Cheyney University. The Lions outlasted the Wolves in five sets, winning 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 20-25 and 15-10.

Niana Coar (Aberdeen, MD/) added eight kills, seven digs and four aces.
The Lions produced a season-high 55 kills in the victory and hit .368 during the decisive fifth set.
Monday's contest begins Lincoln's conference schedule and opens an important week for the Lions.
Scouting Shaw
Shaw enters Monday's match searching for its first win following a challenging nonconference schedule. The Bears were selected to finish second in the CIAA preseason predicted order of finish after advancing to the 2025 conference championship match. Shaw returns Preseason All-CIAA selection Sydni Hunter and features a young roster under head coach Jailynn Hunt.
