LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University (Pa.) volleyball team continues its road schedule Tuesday, September 15, when the Lions travel to face Millersville University in nonconference action.

Lions Look to Build Momentum
Lincoln enters the matchup following a challenging season-opening road stretch that has included contests against West Chester, Jefferson, Caldwell and Goldey-Beacom.

Freshman Yvette Mercedes (Columbia, MD/) has emerged as one of the Lions' primary attacking options, while Elise Carter (Smyrna, DE/Smyrna HS), Audreynette Lydgate (Bowie, MD/Charles Herbert Flowers HS) and Amira Billingsley (Glen Burnie, MD/) provide additional production at the net.

Setters Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) and Donavyn Morris (Chester, PA/) have helped direct the Lincoln offense. Morris has also contributed defensively alongside Liani Figueroa (Brooklyn,NY/) and Jhordynn Rowson (Virginia Beach , VA/) in the back row.

The Lions will look to establish an early rhythm against Millersville by serving aggressively, limiting attack errors and remaining disciplined defensively.

Scouting Millersville
Millersville enters Tuesday's contest following a pair of matches against Pitt-Johnstown and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The Marauders opened the season with a victory over Caldwell and setbacks against Goldey-Beacom, Jefferson and West Virginia State.

Marissa Storti and Alex Nava entered the previous weekend tied for the team lead with 26 kills apiece. Sam White and Hailey Lazur have also been productive offensive options, while setters Addison Reustle and Julia Chunta direct the Marauders' attack.
