WEST CHESTER, PA – The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team opened the 2026 season Friday afternoon, falling to host West Chester University in straight sets, 3-0, at Hollinger Field House during the PSAC East Kickoff Volleyball Tournament.
The Golden Rams (2-0) claimed the match by set scores of 25-8, 25-8 and 25-11. The loss moved Lincoln to 0-1 on the young season.
Inside the Numbers
Lincoln finished the afternoon with nine kills, nine assists, 29 digs, one service ace and two team blocks. The Lions' defense narrowly outpaced West Chester in digs, 29-28. West Chester finished with 36 kills and a .338 hitting percentage.
CeCe Isenberg led the Golden Rams with nine kills while hitting .474. Bria Stepp recorded 11 assists and eight service aces as West Chester totaled 25 aces in the match.
How it Happened
Lincoln started the opening set strong, jumping out to a 4-2 advantage behind an early kill from
Audreynette Lydgate (Bowie, MD/Charles Herbert Flowers HS) and a pair of West Chester attack errors. The Golden Rams responded with a run to take control of the set and eventually secured the opening frame, 25-8.
West Chester carried the momentum into the second set, recording 14 kills while hitting .387 to take another 25-8 victory. Lincoln totaled two kills in the frame.
The Lions turned in their best offensive percentage of the afternoon in the third set, hitting .100 while committing just two attack errors. Lincoln battled throughout the frame, but West Chester used 11 kills to close out the match with a 25-11 victory.
Amira Billingsley (Glen Burnie, MD/) led Lincoln offensively with four kills on 12 attempts without an attack error, finishing with a .333 hitting percentage.
Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) added two kills while hitting .333 and contributed a team-high five assists. Manley also helped lead Lincoln at the net with two block assists.
Defensively,
Donavyn Morris (Chester, PA/) paced the Lions with a match-high 14 digs while also contributing three assists.
Jhordynn Rowson (Virginia Beach , VA/) added six digs and recorded Lincoln's lone service ace, while Manley finished with five digs.

Lincoln continues play at the PSAC East Kickoff Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, August 29, with two matches. The Lions will face Jefferson at 11 a.m. before concluding the weekend against Caldwell University at 3 p.m.
