LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – Lincoln University Football will be represented during one of the conference's biggest platforms as Head Coach Frank Turner and rising seniors Seth Ulett (Brooklyn, NY/Erasmus Hall) and Charles Thompson (Chester, PA/Stem Academy) travel to Durham, North Carolina, for the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 15, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST.
The annual event brings together coaches, student-athletes, and media representatives from across the CIAA to preview the upcoming football season and celebrate the rich tradition of HBCU football.
Leading up to Media Day, the conference will host the "Live the Legacy" Golf Tournament at Hillandale Golf Course on Monday, July 13, followed by a free Youth Football Clinic for students in grades 3-8 at Hillside High School on Tuesday, July 14.
For Ulett and Thompson, the opportunity to represent Lincoln University carries significance beyond the football field.
"To represent the football program here at Lincoln is truly a blessing," said Ulett. "This program has instilled in me qualities such as discipline and tenacity while teaching me that family isn't always defined by blood. Every decision, challenge, and obstacle has led me to this moment. Representing the first degree-granting HBCU isn't just a title—it's a distinction and a legacy that speaks volumes on its own."
"It means everything to represent myself, the football program, and the first degree-granting HBCU," said Thompson. "I am truly honored and grateful for this opportunity."
As the 2026 season approaches, both student-athletes are eager to help lead the Lions into another competitive season.
"What I look forward to most this season is defending the den," Ulett said. "Home games are special because Lincoln University's pride is on full display, and celebrating a victory with our fans is like no other feeling."
For Thompson, the excitement centers on competing on one of the season's biggest stages.
"What I'm looking forward to most this season is competing in the HBCU Classic and embracing the opportunity to represent Lincoln University on a national stage."
The Lions' presence at CIAA Football Media Day reflects the program's commitment to excellence, leadership, and carrying forward the proud legacy of Lincoln University as preparations continue for the 2026 season.
