PHILADELPHIA, PA – April 2026 – The Lincoln University (PA) men's track & field team turned in a solid performance at the prestigious Penn Relays, highlighted by a strong showing in the relay events and a standout mark in the field.
Lincoln's 4x400-meter relay team of Sahfi Reed, Devin James (Detroit, MI), Phillip Burney, and Carlo Johnson (Wyndmoor, PA) delivered an impressive time of 3:12.15 in the college heats, meeting the NCAA Division II standard. The group also posted a 3:14.15 performance in the college finals, continuing a strong weekend on the track.
In the sprint medley relay, the quartet of Zion Spotwood (Chester, PA/Chester), Adam Green (Pottstown, PA/Pottstown), Lamine Kane (Baltimore, MD/Woodlawn HS), and Thomas Jones (Washington, DC) recorded a time of 3:46.16, competing against a competitive field.
In the field events, Rhyel Miles led the way in the javelin throw with a top mark of 52.46 meters (172'1"), showcasing consistency across his series.
Lincoln continues to build momentum as the outdoor season progresses, competing against top-tier talent on one of the sport's biggest stages.
