Bluefield, WV- January 23, 2026 - The Lincoln University women's basketball team fell to Bluefield State, 102–68, in CIAA action on Thursday evening.
Alaila Walker (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central) led the Lions with a strong all-around performance, scoring a team-high 20 points while shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. Hunter Conway (Detroit, MI/Belleville HS) added 15 points and went a perfect 7-of-8 from the free throw line, while Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly) finished with 10 points and three assists.
Lincoln shot an efficient 45.3% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc, but Bluefield State's hot shooting and fast-paced offense proved to be the difference. The Big Blue connected on 16 three-pointers and capitalized on transition opportunities to pull away in the second half.
The Lions were competitive early, staying within striking distance through the first two quarters, but Bluefield State extended its lead with a 25-point third quarter and a 32-point fourth quarter to seal the game.
Lincoln now moves to 2-17 overall and 0-9 in CIAA play.

The Lions return to CIAA action on Wednesday, January 28, at 5:30 p.m. when they travel to Ettrick, Va. to take on Virginia State University.
