Reyes, Oakes Combine for Eight Saves in Lions’ Season Opener

NORFOLK, VA. – September 5, 2025 – Lincoln University women's soccer opened its 2025 season on Friday with a 6-0 setback at Hampton, showing grit in a tough road test. Goalkeepers Ariel Reyes (Valley Stream, NY) and Shealyn Oakes (Waldorf, MD) combined for eight saves to anchor the defensive effort.

On the attacking side, Justyce King (Menifee, CA) tallied the Lions' lone shot on goal in the first half, testing the Hampton keeper early in the contest.

Lincoln continues its non-conference slate on September 13, 2025, with a road match up against Delaware State University in Dover, Del.
