DOVER, DE. – September 13, 2025 – The Lincoln University women's soccer team earned one of its most notable results in recent program history on Saturday, battling Division I Delaware State to a 0-0 draw.
The Lions (0-1-1) leaned on a standout performance from goalkeeper Ariel Reyes (Valley Stream, NY), who recorded a nine-save shutout to keep the Hornets off the board. Reyes was especially sharp in the second half, turning away seven shots to preserve the clean sheet.
Lincoln generated two shots on goal in the opening period, including strong looks from Jordan Allison (Baltimore, MD) and Sahida Dumbuya (Freetown, Sierra Leone), forcing Delaware State's keeper into action.
The result marks a big step for the Lions, who compete at the Division II level in the CACC, as they held firm against a Division I opponent on the road.
