ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – September 24, 2025 – The Lincoln University women's soccer team battled throughout a tough CACC matchup on the road Wednesday, falling 3-0 to Dominican (N.Y.) at O'Brien Field.
The Lions (0-4-1 overall, 0-2-0 CACC) put together one of their most active offensive performances of the season, generating 10 total shots with two on target. Justyce King (Menifee, CA) and Sahida Dumbuya (Freetown, Sierra Leone) each placed shots on goal, while Adiaha Witherspoon (Waldorf, MD), Briana Poullard (Elkton, MD), Shealyn Oakes (Waldorf, MD), and Ricyonna Walker (Kingston, Jamaica) also created scoring chances to keep pressure on the Chargers' back line.
In goal, Nevaeh Washington (Philadelphia, PA) stood tall once again, collecting seven saves, including six in the opening half to keep Lincoln within striking distance. Washington has now recorded 16 saves across her last two starts, anchoring a defense that continues to grow stronger in conference play.
Despite Dominican's pressure, the Lions showed resilience in the midfield and back line, holding their opponent scoreless for more than 40 minutes to open the contest and continuing to create opportunities deep into the second half.

Lincoln returns home for its 2025 home opener on Tuesday, September 30, hosting Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC matchup. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on campus in Lincoln University, Pa.
